After something happened to me while being stationed in Korea, I felt unloved, ugly, and worthless. It had gotten so bad that I even contemplated suicide.

One of my friends who knew the details of my situation asked if I wanted to go to church with her. The message that the pastor gave felt like it was directed right at me. “God always loves you, and even when you think He is not there, He always is.”

It made me realize that God put me here for a reason, and He only allows His strongest warriors to go through the toughest battles. My life is worth living because the cross has the final word.
