Jesus is the ultimate and perfect sacrifice for sin. He didn’t have to go into the earthly temples, but stood directly in God’s presence. He continually prays for us and it pleases Him to do so. Because of what Christ accomplished, we reap the benefit of being able to commune with God.

Jesus was a prophet who spoke God’s word to God’s people. He was the only other prophet that was like Moses in the sense of being a prophet-mediator. He was more than a messenger because He is the One Whom all prophecies were made about and the source of all revelation. The prophets were not God’s final means of speaking; they merely pointed forward to the living Son of God.
