In 2006, my kidneys failed. Being only 13 years old at the time, it was a very hard process to have to go through. The kidney failure led to other medical issues including high blood pressure, fluid retention, and higher than normal levels of calcium and phosphorus throughout my body.

After being tethered to dialysis machines for 5 years, the doctors started to give up saying that there wasn’t anything else that they could do for me. It was at this point in my life when I gave my life to Christ. God opened up doors for me to get a new doctor, and eventually receive a successful kidney transplant. Six years later, and I am still giving God all the glory for freeing me from this life-threatening situation.
